July 12-16, 2010 Dressage Clinic with Oberbereiter Andreas Hausberger of the Spanish Riding School at Raflyn Farms in Snohomish, WA July 12-16, 2010. Raflyn Farms is located at 7014 180th St. SE, Snohomish, WA. Rides are scheduled from 7 AM to 12:30 PM with a half hour break. Auditors are welcome - fee is $25 per day includes drinks and snacks. July 21 - July 25, 2010  5 day USDF Accredited Clinic.  Christian Bachinger of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna   Herr Bachinger is a 3rd generation rider at the school.  Both his Father and Grandfather were riders. Today his Father, Ernst Bachinger, serves as the current Director of the School overseeing the horses and riders. Herr Bachinger is an experienced clinician who will share his love of classical horsemanship with you at your pace. This clinic is designed with the rider in mind. August 2010  Jean Paul Pare' & Lita Hughes Clinic  Jean-Paul Pare' is currently a trainer throughout Ontario and d Quebec. He Clinic's in Maryland & Virginia. He also has had several clinics in England. He has studied with Master Nuno Oliveira, Mr. M. Cochenet (a three day event national trainer, in France. Ecole National D' Equitation Du Cadre Noir in Saumur France. He also trained with Reitinstitut Egon Von Neindorff & Haidehof. Lita Hughes has a life-long riding and training career, starting in childhood with Sally O’Connor, and has worked with Kirsty Karkow, Peter Kjellerup, Klaus Trawncowiekz, Sally Swift, Jean Paul Pare, Michael and Paula Kierkegaard, John Winnette, Mary Flood. Fall 2010 Matt McLaughlin Clinic   Matt McLaughlin studied primarily under Chuck Grant, USDF Hall of Fame member and recognized father of American dressage. As a working student he not only furthered his dressage riding skills, but also learned the art of training horses in haute école for exhibition performances. Matt spent the next seven years as the Principal Rider, Head Rider, and eventually Head Trainer for the Royal Lipizzaner Stallion Show where he trained as many as 16 stallions and riders for the daily performances all over North America, Europe, and Australia as well as performing his own high-energy solo acts. He has successfully trained horses through Grand Prix Dressage that have gone on to compete nationally and internationally as well as multiple horses finished in haute école including Capriole, Courbette, and Levade. Matt travels throughout North America and Europe as a clinician. He lectures and performs at exhibition venues with his Andalusian haute école and dressage acts throughout the year. July 24 – July 30, 2010  Lipizzan Breed Evaluations  American Lipizzan Breeders Association (ALBA) is proud to announce the 2010 Evaluation of Breeding Stock and a Judge’s Seminar to be conducted by Mr. Atjan Hop of The Netherlands.
Mr. Atjan Hop is a founding member of The Lipizzan International Federation (LIF) and the Lipizzan breed has been his passion throughout his life. He has studied the history and genealogy of the breed which has included visiting all the stud farms, past and present to search for historical records and pedigrees dating back to the 1700's and in some cases earlier. For numerous years, Mr. Hop has been the leading authority on pedigrees and their accuracy for most Lipizzan registries around the world. Mr. Hop has also conducted evaluations in several countries (Denmark, Austria, Germany, Slovakia and The Netherlands) as well as participated as a team member during evaluations at Piber, Vienna and Lipica. Mr. Hop is an ardent rider of his Lipizzan stallion and has for several years studied under Portuguese masters as well as giving occasional exhibitions riding and on the long rein.  Mr. Hop is currently writing a book on the history of the various bloodlines within the Lipizzan breed particularly as it regards the mare lines. This book will be published in the near future.

Lipizzan Breed Classes

 

June 24-25, 2010  Lipizzan Individual Breed Class at VADA/NOVA Breed Show Morven Park.  Mid Atlantic Lipizzan Association (MALA) is working to increase Lipizzan participation in regional equestrian events as we promote knowledge and appreciation of our very special breed.  MALA is therefore planning to sponsor a Lipizzan Individual Breed Class at the VADA/NOVA Breed Show at Morven Park.  Entry forms are available on the VADA/NOVA website: www.vadanova.org.  Scroll down to the calendar for June and go to the Breed Show listing where the entry forms are available.  The closing date for entries is June 4.  If you have any questions, please send me an email at wenkcat@aol.com. We look forward to having you and your horse(s) participate in this event.

Your donation will be utilized directly towards the costs of rescuing, rehabilitating, and training FREE service dogs for children with autism and other special needs. These dogs are placed free of charge for children and families. Donations are the only way we can continue to provide these services.

Activities for the day include a “Walk for the Pawz” walk-a-thon, DOG SHOW for pure and mixed breed dogs, and no, you don't need to be a pro to do it! Classes for Pure Breed, Mixed Breed, Cutest, Biggest, Smallest, and Most Talented all receive ribbons for every entrant, gorgeous Rosettes for Class Winners, and a beautiful TROPHY for BEST IN SHOW!!!!! Free balloon animals, face painting, delicious food from Corrado's Family Markets, Italian Ices from Lump Lumps, US Pet Express, and free balloons from Doggy Deuce. We'll have Jonathon Bell (Z-100) as our emcee, singer and host of “The Pet Stop” on Channel 12 NJ, Brian Voynick, DVM, and world renowned R&B, hip hop artist Buck Smooth in the afternoon concert!  Remote interview with TEMPLE GRANDIN!!!!!   Bring your family and email EVERYONE YOU KNOW to attend either in person or via internet and donate to SAVE A LIFE!
